Airborne operation is an essential part of any war as it plays a decisive role. The entire range of heavy combat equipment, arms & ammunition and supplies required by the Paratroopers are delivered by resorting to airdrop. This ensures mobility, fire power and sustenance of the paratroopers for the execution of the task, till they establish contact with the advancing friendly army column. Heavy Drop Systems are used for dropping heavy payloads ranging from 500 kg to 20 Ton capacity (i.e. light field gun, Gypsy, Jeep, BMP MK-II and Rations ) using AN-32 and IL-76 Aircrafts.

Heavy Drop System – P3 Ton for AN-32

Comprising of platform ¶chute sub-system enables para- dropping of military stores up to 3 tons from AN-32 aircraft.

Heavy Drop System – P7 Ton for IL-76

Comprising of platform & parachute sub-system enables para- dropping of military stores up to 7 tons from IL -76 aircraft.

Heavy Drop System – 16 Ton for IL-76

Comprising of platform & parachute sub-system enables para- dropping of military stores up to 16 tons from IL -76 aircraft.
